Garden Design
We offer a full garden design service. We listen carefully to your needs and ideas, and then use our expertise to make your vision a reality. Read more about the process:
Initial consultation
This is a visit to enable us to meet you, see your outside space and discuss what type of garden you would like. The brief will then be written up and sent to you with a quote for the design fees. You can ask any questions you have about your current garden and general advice too.
We charge a fee for this visit depending on location. If you go ahead with our service we will deduct this fee from design fees.
Garden survey
This determines dimensions, levels, drainage, aspect, soil ph and other relevant issues, needed to undertake a full garden design. Sometimes this is combined with a second meeting to review and refine the brief further.
Preliminary plans and concepts
We will produce some initial plans based on the brief and then start to discuss choices for hard landscaping materials and plants.
This is important so that changes can be made to ensure the design is one that you are happy with.
We can provide sketches and mood boards if needed to help clarify and communicate design ideas for the garden.
Final design
The final design layout plan is presented with specifications of all materials to be used to construct the garden. Costings for materials and plants can be made at this stage.
Planting plans
These use the garden layout and show the exact plants to be used and where.
Tendering
We can find contractors to build the garden and put it out to tender to find the best contractor for your project.
Planting
We can provide a full planting service to source and plant the garden.
Aftercare
We can provide aftercare for at least the first few years of the garden’s life and then, if needed, further consultation visits to check on the garden and advise on any issues arising.
